Synopsis:

Four young girls from different backgrounds join a beauty pageant. In the beginning, they have their own goals and principles, but the harsh reality of facing society's pressure make them discard their ideals.

Ying Ying (Lau Yuk Ting) and May (Annie Man) are childhood best friends. Having returned from overseas after her father's death, May refuses to acknowledge the relationship with her mother (Sicney Yim), who has remarried. Ying Ying persuades May to join a beauty pageant and May agrees because she wants to prove to her mother that a person can be successful without relying on others. During the competition, Ying Ying discovers that she is pregnant but decides to abort the baby due to her craze for fame and fortune. May encounters some problem with the beauty pageant personnel but emerges the winner, thanks to help from Wen (Nick Cheung).

Wen likes and admires May, but she falls in love with her colleague played by Anthony Tang and they get married. Due to jealousy, Ying Ying betrays May by having an affair with her husband and they turn into bitter enemies. Will they be able to overcome the odds and savor their friendship? Will May finally accept Wen or return to her cheating husband?
